On September 6th, Prof. Alex Brillantes, Professor of the University of the Philippines, Chairman of the Asian Institute of Public Administration (AAPA), and Associate Professor of Sungkyunkwan University in Korea, AAPA Secretary-General Professor Rosa Minhyo Cho visited China Institute for Urban Governance and discussed the preparations for the AAPA 2020 Society. They also exchanged views on issues related to urban governance in the Manila region of the Philippines, the Seoul region of South Korea and the Yangtze River Delta region. Professor Wu Jiannan, Director of the Department of Liberal Arts of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Executive Vice President of the China Institute for Urban Governance, and Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Research, Gu Xiaokun, attended the reception.

During the meeting, the main discussion on the 2020 Asian Public Management Society annual meeting was held, and the deadline, date of the meeting, venue and related specific issues were determined. This visit has deepened the cooperation between the China Urban Governance Research Institute and the Asian Public Management Society, laying a good foundation for the holding of the AAPA Annual Meeting next year and promoting collaborative research among major cities in different parts of Asia.
