"Yangtze River Delta Dialogue" Theme Salon was held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University

On the evening of October 30th, the first "Yangtze River Delta Dialogue" Theme Salon was held at Xuhui Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The event was co-sponsored by China Institute for Urban Governance and the School of International and Public Affairs of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Chen Zhongchao, member and executive deputy mayor of the Standing Committee of Ningbo Municipal Committee of Zhejiang Province, Tong Xiaoliu, deputy director of the Political and Research Office of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee, Cai Yongbo, member of the Standing Committee of the Taizhou Municipal Committee, and deputy mayor of the Taizhou Municipal Committee, Ma Defu, the second inspector of the Zhejiang Development and Reform Commission, Shi Huamiao, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of Hangzhou Qiantang New District and executive deputy director of the management committee, Wu Zhiyong, member of the Party Committee of Huzhou Municipal Government, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of Huzhou South Taihu Lake New Area, and director of the Management Committee, , Qian Ligao, the second inspector of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Transportation, Xu Xingming, Director of the Reform Office of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Reform Office, Wu Jiannan, excutive vice director of China Institute for Urban Governance and head of Division of Liberal Arts and Social Science of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Li Zhenquan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of School of International and Public Affairs, and deputy secretary of the Party Branch of China Institute for Urban Governance of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhang Lufa, associate dean of School of International and Public Affairs and vice director of China Institute for Urban Governance of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Xu Jian, Professor Lu Ming, Professor Han Zhiming, Professor Qi Zhujie and other leaders and experts from Shanghai Jiaotong University, and all the participants of the Zhejiang Provincial Regional Economy (Yangtze River Delta Integration) Coordinated Development Workshop and some teachers and students of Shanghai Jiaotong University participated in the event. Li Zhenquan and Zhang Lufa acted as the moderators of the two phases of the event.

On behalf of the organizers, Professor Wu Jiannan expressed warm welcome to the participation of the leaders, experts and professors of Zhejiang, and gave a brief introduction to the basic situation of Shanghai Jiaotong University, China Institute for Urban Governance and the School of International and Public Affairs in the integration of the Yangtze River Delta.

 

Chen Zhongchao delivered a speech on behalf of all participants of the Zhejiang Provincial Regional Economy (Yangtze River Delta Integration) Coordinated Development Seminar, and briefly introduced the efforts and progress made by Zhejiang Province, especially Ningbo City, in the process of integration in the Yangtze River Delta.

 

During the discussion period, Professor Xu Jian from the Institute of Humanities and Arts shared the topic "The Spread of the Expo in the Background of the Integration of the Yangtze River Delta" as his research theme. He mainly analyzed the information flow of the Expo from Twitter, the ideal communication network map built with Shanghai as the center, and the information flow that the domestic interest in the Expo was focused on, and also put forward policy recommendations on the image shaping and specific measures of the Expo.

With the theme of "the benefit-sharing mechanism in the process of integration of the Yangtze River Delta", Professor Lu Ming of Antai College of Management elaborated on how to better reflect on the benefit-sharing mechanism in the process of integration, by comparing the developments since the integration of the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta.

With the theme "Ecological Management of Solid Waste under the Background of Integration of the Yangtze River Delta", Professor Zhu Zhujie from the School of International and Public Affairs shared the relevant projects on solid waste and the direction of future support projects of the main ministries and commissions in 2019.

With the theme of "Modernization of Community Governance in the Process of Integration of the Yangtze River Delta", Professor Han Zhiming from the School of International and Public Affairs shared his ideas focusing on the requirements and trends of community governance modernization and the practice and development of community governance in the Yangtze River Delta, and also summed up the "Ten Experiences" and "Top Ten Issues" in the Modernization of Community Governance in the Background of the Integration of the Yangtze River Delta.

With the theme of "Reform and Innovation, Integration of the Yangtze River Delta and Collaborative Governance: Rethinking the National Strategy and Its Implementation", Professor Wu Jiannan focused his speech on the interpretation and reflection on reform, innovation and reform and innovation, and the national strategy of the Yangtze River Delta integration.

Subsequently, Chen Zhongchao, Cai Yongbo, Tong Xiaoliu, Ma Defu, Shi Huamiao, Wu Zhiyong, Qian Ligao, Xu Xingming made speeches around the pain points, difficulties and personal thinking in the process of integration of the Yangtze River Delta from their own posts, and then had in-depth interactions with experts and professors.

 

Wu Jiannan pointed out in his concluding remarks that this activity is a useful attempt to exchange and exchange school and campus. Through the interaction between political and academic circles, the collision of theory and practice, the guests have a deeper understanding of the national strategy of the integration of the Yangtze River Delta, and will certainly promote relevant work and academic research.
