Professor Wu Jiannan, Executive Vice President of Our School, Attended the 2019 Annual Meeting of the Asian Public Management Association

From May 22nd to 24th, 2019, the Asian Public Management Association (AAPA) 2019 Annual Meeting was held in Manila, the Philippines. Wu Jiannan, Distinguished Professor of the School of International and Public Affairs of Shanghai Jiaotong University, executive vice president of the China Institute for Urban Governance, and Director General of the Asian Public Management Association, presided over the plenary session and attended the AAPA Council meeting. Dr. Gu Xiaokun, deputy director of the Cooperation and Exchange Department of the Institute, and Li Zhe, a doctoral student of the Institute, attended the meeting and gave a sub-forum report.

The 2019 Annual Meeting of the Asian Public Management Association was co-sponsored by the Asian Public Administration Association (AAPA) and the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. The theme of the conference was “Public Management and the Future: The Challenges and Opportunities for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals, and the Direction of Reform and Capacity Building”.

During the meeting, Professor Wu Jiannan and the Chairman of the Asian Public Management Association, Alex B. Brillantes, and the Chairman of the Philippine Institute of Public Administration, Lizan Perante-Calina, conducted in-depth exchanges on international cooperation and achieved good results, laying the foundation for future international cooperation and exchanges.
