Dean of the Academy of Space Sciences of the University of Groningen in Netherlands Visited Our Institute

On the morning of April 4, 2019, Oscar Couwenberg, Professor of Space Science at the University of Groningen, Professor Paul van Steen and Prof. Zhao Yongjun visited the School of International and Public Affairs of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the China Institute for Urban Governance. Jiang Wenning, secretary of the party committee of the college, Zhang Lufa, vice president, and Gu Xiaokun, deputy director of the Department of International Cooperation and Research, attended the reception.
On behalf of the College and the Institute, Secretary Jiang Wenning expressed warm welcome to Dean Oscar Couwenberg and his delegation and introduced the basic situation and latest developments of the college and the institute. Dean Oscar Couwenberg also gave a brief introduction to the situation of the University of Groningen and the Academy of Space Sciences and the sincere desire to cooperate with our institute. Afterwards, the two sides conducted extensive exchanges on student exchanges, policy consultations, research cooperation, etc., and reached a number of preliminary consensuses. The event further deepened the close ties between the colleges, research institutes and international universities, and laid a solid foundation for the implementation of the internationalization strategy of the colleges and institutes.
